clowning is a magnificent journey

I have been working on this play for the last few years. I had a dream to put my clown in a place of total exposure and to use several clowning technique in order to make a point or two about the status of the artist in the eyes of society. I build a frame work inside a court of law. A clown always needs a place to reflect his inner world and to show His point of view towards this place and what this place represents. I think good clowning is about the movement between silence and noise. Between acting and been steel. The clown’s spectrum should always be fluid and flexible in order to be able to react “here and now”. It’s not about being funny. It’s about reflecting emotions and reacting to situations with a unique point of view and a graceful look about the behavior of human beings. For me personally clowning is like climbing a big mountain. I might not get to the top but the journey is magnificent and I love every minute of it

dream-doctors medical clowns winter seminar 2011

just came back from eilat. i did my new clown play to my clown friends in the medical clown seminar. it was great. it was a great honor to perfom to all of them. they are true friends. i also participated in laura herz’s workshop. she was very good and i liked her strong energis and her movement methods.

 it is a powerful thing to stay one week with more then 50 clowns. i came back home with new powers. now im getting ready for my next show in tzavta theatre at 13-3-11.

my new clowning play

just releast a clown play called ” af al p tehom”. its a story abuot a clown despret chance to stay alive under the eye of judge edmund the deaman. in this comic trial im trying to put some light on the inner world of the clown and the way society looks at him.
